Succession has been a permanent theme in agribusiness and SindiTabaco has lent support to initiatives that encourage the young to stay in the rural setting.

In their firm belief that the young will only stay in the countryside if they spot chances for progressing, the industries of the sector support initiatives by the Growing Up Right Institute, whereby the young are provided with opportunities to acquire enough knowledge for the construction of their life-size projects in the rural setting.

The adolescents integrated with the Growing Up Right Institute’s Rural Professional Learning Program are hired as young apprentices by the tobacco industries, but fulfill their entire hourly load in activities of the rural management and entrepreneurship course, which is conducted in rural localities close to the communities where they live.

Furthermore, individual initiatives by the associated companies also have a say in the balance of actions geared toward rural entrepreneurship and, consequently, toward the future generations in the countryside.
