    Born in Candelária (RS), the president of SindiTabaco graduated in Agronomic Engineering at the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM/RS). His professional trajectory started at Emater, in 1975. With more than 45 years of experience in the segment of tobacco, he joined Fumossul Ltda., before the end of 1975, in Venâncio Aires and, in 1980, he began to work for Meridional de Tabacos, in Santa Cruz do Sul, where he served as Agronomic Engineer, Production Manager and, from 2000 onward, as Production Director. The merger of Meridional de Tabacos and Dimon gave rise to Alliance One, where he served as Production Superintendent, in 2005. During all this period, he traveled to several tobacco producing countries. For more than a decade, he occupied the position as Vice-President of Production at Sindifumo, now known as SindiTabaco, where he has been serving as president since 2006. Since 2008 he has served as Director at the FIERGS – Rio Grande do Sul Industry Federation. In 2015, he also took over the presidency of the Growing-Up Right Institute.

    Born in Santa Cruz do Sul (RS), graduated with a degree in Accounting Sciences from the University of Santa Cruz do Sul (UNISC), with an MBA in Corporate Finance from the FGV/RJ and Business Management from Foundation Dom Cabral/MG. He started his financial career at BAT Brasil. in 1988, working in several operations and on special projects of the company in Brazil. At the moment, he is responsible for the Financial and Accounting Department at BAT Brasil.

    Born in Recife (PE), graduated in Agronomy from the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco and post-graduated in Marketing from the School of Advertising and Marketing of Rio de Janeiro. He worked as an agronomist in the area of fertilizers and pesticides in the Northeast and in tobacco production in the South, before dedicating himself to the area of Corporate Affairs. He currently serves as Director of Corporate Affairs and Communication at Japan Tobacco International.

    Born in Santa Cruz do Sul (RS), graduated in Economy from the UNISC, and Technical Accountant. He started his career in the tobacco sector at Tabacos Brasileiros, now Universal Leaf Tabacos Ltda. In his 37 years of experience in the sector, he worked in the areas of Accounting, Supplies and Logistics, Human Resources and, at the moment, he occupies the position of Administrative Director. He is also a counselor at FIERGS CONCEX.

    Born in Itapiranga (SC), graduated with a degree in Accounting Sciences from the University of Santa Cruz do Sul (UNISC), postgraduate in Controllership (UNISC/UFRGS), with an MBA in Capital Markets (FGV/RS) and an MBA in Agribusiness (ESALQ/USP). He started in the tobacco business in 1997 and has already worked for the following companies: CTA-Continental Tobaccos Alliance S.A., Alliance One Brasil Exportadora de Tabacos Ltda. and now he is the financial administrative director at China Brasil Tabacos Exportadora S.A.

    Born in Ilópolis (RS), with a degree in Administration from the Self-Governing Higher Education Institution in Garanhuns (AESGA), with an MBA in Entrepreneurial Management from Dom Cabral Foundation / MG and Post-MBA from the Kellogg School of Management / Chicago. He started his career in the Tobacco Production area at Souza Cruz Ltda., in 1996, occupying several positions of the company in Brazil. He also served as Head of Leaf at BAT Colombia, from 2015 to 2018. At present, he is responsible for the South Regional Tobacco Production Administration at Souza Cruz, in Brazil, Secretary to FONIAGRO and vice-president of the Growing Up Right Institute.

    Vice-president at Environmental Management and Social Responsibility Services

    Born in Santa Cruz do Sul (RS), holding a degree in Agronomic Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), with specialization on Business Administration from the UNISC. With an experience of over 33 years in the tobacco sector, he worked for Souza Cruz and continued his career in the international department at Philip Morris, where he was responsible for several departments, like Agronomy, Tobacco Procurement, Planning, Projects and Sustainability. For 13 years, he worked in several countries, like Malaysia, China Switzerland, Turkey, South Africa and Philippines. At the moment, he serves as Tobacco Production and Northeast Operations manager at Philip Morris Brasil and is responsible for the administration of the technical Agronomy department, with its focus on innovation and technology projects.
